Unable to control our curiosity, X and I returned to the 'scene' two days after the discovery that we'd made last week.
We found a smashed rear door that had been boarded up, and a side window broken too. Both lots of glass were still on the floor. However, there were TWO sets of tape - not just blue and white!
A search on Google told us that the use of yellow (aside from saying CRIME SCENE) means that it's getting increasingly likely that something sinister has happened there...
As the property is on a public right of way, at the rear, we sat down to ponder what we had seen. This was fifty percent useful and fifty percent daft.
Useful - we heard a noise and then saw a man boarding up the side window - he didn't see us (annoyingly) as he was quite a way away.
Daft - it had rained the night before and, despite the sunny afternoon, the grass hadn't dried out fully and we got damp bottoms!
There's been nothing on local news sites, but I am making it my mission to find out the latest development so that I can finally bring you the full story...
